Congress takes place under the aegis of Minister of Transport, Minister of Justice and Rector of Brno University of Technology.
Experimental part
The complementary experimental part of the program will concentrate on issues related to traffic accidents occurring at inferior visibility: special attention will be paid to the frequently discussed problem of perceiving objects from a standing and moving vehicle differently at diminished visibility. Trial testing of the difference between static and dynamic visibility distance measuring (i.e., the difference between the results of attempted classical investigation and real perception of the accident site) will be part of the complementary program.
The suggested theme was chosen with the aim to address notorious problems arising from investigating accidents occurred at night or at diminished visibility, where called-up experts often struggle with inadequate evidence of the accident (insufficient accident site documentation), in addition to general objective problems (systematic methodology of solution-finding). After all, the number of persons killed in accidents occurred at diminished visibility is not negligible.
