Congress takes place under the aegis of Minister of Transport, Minister of Justice and Rector of Brno University of Technology.

The Main Theme

Human factor

The impact of the human factor on the causes, progress, and consequences of traffic accidents.

Human error is one of the most common causes of traffic accidents. Therefore, analysis of traffic accidents cannot be limited to the characteristics of the reality alone, i.e., the vehicle and the ambience, as it is necessary to analyze the interaction of all of the reality’s three elements (driver – vehicle – ambience) involved in the given traffic accident.

The main theme of the Conference is very crucial, as it focuses on drivers’ errors, i.e., the most common cause of traffic accidents.

The scope of issues involved in this theme is quite broad, hence the individual papers may address a wide range of themes related to ASN.

Interaction – driver vs. ambience

  • driver’s sensory perception

Interaction – driver vs. vehicle

  • driving, braking, acceleration, inaction, combination thereof, vehicle’s response

Limitation of interaction

  • subjective limitations (sensory, motor, psychological), technical (determined by the vehicle’s design)

Influence on interactions

  • the influence of light conditions on visual perceptibility
  • the effects of alcohol and/or drug consumption on driver’s motor and psychological perceptibility
  • vehicles’ modern active features supporting driver’s sensory perceptibility
  • vehicles’ modern active features facilitating driver’s driving
